    Acute Rehabilitation Center

Sutter Coast Hospital provides the area’s only acute rehabilitation services to patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, orthopedic conditions such as complex hip fractures and joint replacements, and other serious illnesses or traumatic injuries. Our goal is to help you get back to the things you love and a normal lifestyle.

    What is Inpatient Rehabilitation?

Inpatient rehabilitation is an intensive rehabilitation program provided in an acute hospital setting where patients participate in a minimum of three hours of therapy each day for at least five days a week. Acute rehabilitation offers better nurse-patient staffing ratio, more therapy and physician oversight, as well as a shorter length of stay than a skilled-nursing facility.
